### 六三、宋仙居如來庵尼道輝傳

> Biography of Daohui, Nun of the Tathagata Nunnery in Songxianju

道輝，仙居范氏女。嘗食魚鮓，心動，遂茹素持律。出家後，精通佛法，搆一小庵，名曰如來。自繡大士像，懸之中楹，昕夕禮拜。歲旱，出為民求雨，立驗。道譽洋溢，遠達紫宸，每受召入宮，為后妃說法受戒。賜之錢帛，即給貧者，賜號普濟大師。其居庵中，夏則施茶，冬則施粥。門外築一方亭，中設坐具，方便行人。諸有利濟，皆自為之。年六十七，無疾而化。

> Daohui, a woman of the Fan family from Xianju. Once, while eating pickled fish, her heart stirred, and she then adopted a vegetarian diet and upheld the precepts. After leaving home to become a nun, she mastered the Buddhist teachings, and built a small hermitage, naming it Tathagata. She embroidered an image of the Bodhisattva herself and hung it in the central hall, offering reverence morning and evening. In years of drought, she went out to pray for rain for the people, and it would immediately prove effective. Her reputation for virtue spread widely, reaching even the imperial palace. She was often summoned to the palace to expound the Dharma and give precepts to the empress and consorts. When given money and silks, she would distribute them to the poor. She was bestowed the title Master Puji. In her hermitage, in summer she offered tea, and in winter she offered porridge. Outside the gate, she built a square pavilion, with seating placed inside, providing convenience for travelers. All acts of benefit and aid, she carried out herself. At the age of sixty-seven, she passed away without illness.
